CHIRP is often easier to understand and use than the original programming software from the manufacturers of certain radios, particularly those in China. This preference for CHIRP is largely due to a couple of reasons. When programming certain models of two way radios purchased from Buy Two Way Radios, some of our customers, particularly those who are ham radio operators, prefer CHIRP in lieu of the programming software provided by the radio manufacturer.
